Start with your building
Planned around the building and how you use energy.
WRB plans heating equipment, controls and electrical supply together so the different parts work as one system.
We start with what you know about the property or site, your current setup, how you use energy and what you want to improve. That helps us recommend equipment for a clear reason.
What a good plan should help you do
- Avoid gaps between heating and electrical trades
- Plan around the people who use the building
- Move clearly from survey to completed work
What we need to know
You do not need every detail before getting in touch. Share what you know and we’ll tell you what matters next.
Begin with the building and its people
Heating and mechanical systems need to match how each space is used, how much heat it needs and the condition of the existing equipment. We record these details before agreeing the work.
Plan equipment, controls and power together
Heating equipment, controls and electrical supply are connected. Planning them together reduces gaps between trades and makes testing and setup clearer.
Make the work practical
Access to equipment, working in stages, planned shutdowns and space for future maintenance can matter as much as equipment choice. We include these details early.
Common questions
Could a heat pump work in my home?
It depends on heat loss, insulation, radiators or underfloor heating, available space and your electrical supply. We check the home before recommending equipment.
Will I need to replace every radiator?
Not necessarily. We check how much heat each room loses and whether its current radiator can provide enough warmth at the planned water temperature. Some radiators may be fine while others may need to change.
Does a heat pump need a hot-water cylinder?
Most heat pumps that warm radiators and hot water need a suitable cylinder. The right size and setup depend on your home, your hot-water use and the space available.
Can solar panels and a heat pump work together?
Yes, but solar panels produce less electricity in winter, when heating demand is highest. Any savings estimate should allow for that seasonal difference.
