Oil boiler replacement
Replace your oil boiler, without the guesswork.
Replace an ageing or unreliable oil boiler with a system planned around your home, heating needs, oil tank, flue and controls.
Ask about oil boiler replacement
Start with your building
Check the boiler and the rest of the oil-heating system.
WRB checks the boiler, oil tank, fuel line, flue, controls and the heat your home in Ireland needs before recommending a replacement.
We start with what you know about the property or site, your current setup, how you use energy and what you want to improve. That helps us recommend equipment for a clear reason.
What a good plan should help you do
- Choose a boiler that suits the home rather than simply copying the old one
- Know whether the tank, fuel line, flue or controls also need attention
- Agree the work, testing and handover before installation starts
What we need to know
You do not need every detail before getting in touch. Share what you know and we’ll tell you what matters next.
Decide whether replacement is the sensible next step
Repeated breakdowns, leaks, corrosion, difficult-to-find parts or a boiler that no longer heats the home reliably can all point towards replacement. We start by understanding the problem so you are not pushed into a new boiler when a clear repair or service may be enough.
Size the new boiler for the home
The old boiler label is not a complete design. Insulation, extensions, radiators, hot-water use and changes to the household can all affect what the home needs now. We check these before selecting equipment.
Check the whole oil-heating setup
The oil tank, base, fuel line, fire valve, flue, ventilation, condensate route and controls can affect the job. Looking at them early gives you a clearer scope and avoids treating the boiler as a stand-alone box.
Plan commissioning and handover
The proposal should explain the equipment, controls, testing, records and any follow-up work. When the installation is complete, you should know how to use the heating and who to contact if you need help.
Common questions
Should I repair or replace my oil boiler?
It depends on the fault, the boiler’s condition, parts availability and whether it still suits the home. We review those points before recommending replacement.
Can the new oil boiler stay in the same place?
Often it can, but the location still needs to meet current requirements for the flue, ventilation, condensate, servicing access and oil supply. A survey confirms what is practical.
Will the oil tank need to be replaced too?
Not automatically. Its condition, support, location, fuel line and safety controls need to be checked as part of the survey.
What should I send with my enquiry?
If it is safe, send the boiler make and model, its approximate age, a short description of the problem and photos showing the boiler, flue and oil tank.
