Estimated yearly value

These starting figures are examples, not an estimate for your property. Change them to explore how the result varies. If you do not know your solar figures yet, ask us for help.

Example: 4,000 kWh. Use the annual generation estimate from a solar proposal, or a full year of readings from your existing system.
Example: 55%. This is the share of solar electricity used at your property rather than sent to the grid. Use monitoring data or an estimate from your proposal; it depends on when you use electricity and any battery storage.

This does not include payments for electricity sent to the grid. Use the current price from your own bill rather than relying on the example.

Spare solar electricity

Understand your export payments.

Eligible electricity sent to the grid can earn supplier credits under Ireland’s Clean Export Guarantee arrangements. Your supplier sets the tariff; metering and connection registration affect how exports are recorded.

The calculator above only values electricity you use yourself. Export income is separate and should use your supplier’s export rate rather than the import price.
