Who is responsible for your information
WRB (U.K.) Limited is the data controller, which means it is responsible for the information you submit through this website. The company number is NI658923 and the registered office is Unit 8 Somerton Industrial Estate, Dargan Crescent, Belfast, BT3 9JP. Send privacy questions or requests to info@wrbni.uk or to that postal address.
Information we collect
When you send a home check, business enquiry, support request or contact form, we collect the details you choose to share. These may include your name, email address, phone number, Eircode or site address, company, information about your home or site, energy use, what you need help with and any bills, photos or documents you upload.
We also receive a small amount of technical information needed to run and protect the website, such as the time of your request, the page it came from and security information. If you allow analytics, we may record campaign details and the page that sent you here so we can understand how people find the website.
Why we use it
We use your information to understand your request, ask for anything that is missing, reply to you, arrange a home or site visit and keep a record of the conversation. We do this to take steps you have asked for before a possible contract and because WRB has a legitimate interest in running and protecting its enquiry service.
If you choose to work with WRB, we may also use the information to prepare and carry out the contract, keep required business records and meet legal duties. Optional website analytics stays off unless you choose to allow it.
Who receives it
Authorised WRB staff and companies that provide website hosting, content management, database services, secure file storage and technical support may process your information when needed. They must protect it and use it only to provide their service. WRB does not sell enquiry information.
How long it is kept
If an enquiry does not become a project, we normally keep it for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact and then review it for deletion. We may keep records linked to quotes, contracts, warranties, safety matters, disputes or legal duties for longer when there is a clear business or legal reason. Uploaded documents are kept for the same period as the enquiry they support.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
The website remembers your privacy choice so it does not ask on every page. Analytics and campaign tracking stay off until you select “Allow analytics”. Optional analytics is provided through analytics.podium.dev and may store a visitor identifier in your browser. You can reopen Privacy settings in the footer and choose “Use essential only” to stop analytics and remove its cookies and identifiers from this browser. The page reloads when you change analytics permission. Withdrawing your choice does not remove information already received; contact us if you want to ask about that information.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information. You may also ask us to limit how we use it, transfer it or consider an objection. If we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
If you are in Ireland, you can raise a concern with the Data Protection Commission. The relevant supervisory authority depends on the processing and controller arrangements. You can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contacting WRB first may help us resolve the issue more quickly.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if the way the website handles information or the relevant law changes. The date above shows the current version.
