Businesses across Ireland
Business storage, with a clear job to do.
Business battery storage for sites in Ireland, planned around when you use electricity, any solar panels, energy rates and what the battery needs to do.
Tell us about your project
Start with your building
Start by deciding what the battery should do.
WRB looks at battery storage as part of your whole setup. We match the amount it can store and the power it can deliver to how you actually use electricity.
We start with what you know about the property or site, your current setup, how you use energy and what you want to improve. That helps us recommend equipment for a clear reason.
What a good plan should help you do
- Use more of the solar electricity you produce
- Keep stored energy for busier times
- Make solar, battery and controls work together
What we need to know
You do not need every detail before getting in touch. Share what you know and we’ll tell you what matters next.
Storage and power are not the same
Battery capacity tells you how much energy it can store. Power output tells you how much it can supply at once. We check both against what your home or site actually needs, rather than choosing from a product headline.
Decide when the battery should run
A battery can store spare solar electricity or charge when electricity rates are lower. Agreeing what you want it to do helps us choose the right equipment and settings.
Choose a safe, practical location
Ventilation, access, manufacturer instructions, cable routes and your existing electrical system all affect where a battery can go. We check these before recommending a location.
Common questions
Would a battery suit our site?
Start with when the site uses electricity, its solar output if any, and the electricity tariff. Comparing these helps establish whether storage would be useful and what size to assess.
What information helps you assess battery storage?
Send recent electricity bills, usage readings if available, opening hours and details of any solar panels or other large electrical equipment.
Will a battery keep the business running in a power cut?
Do not assume backup is included. Tell us which equipment must keep running so backup requirements can be checked separately as part of the design.

Installing solar in Ireland
Plan the paperwork with the system.
For grant-supported work, check the contractor’s relevant SEAI registration and wait for the grant offer before installation. Agree the applicable ESB Networks connection route, electrical certification and commissioning records in your proposal.
A domestic SEAI solar installation also needs a post-works BER before grant payment. Your handover should explain the equipment, controls and support arrangements.
